We are excited to share some important news with you—Veri is thrilled to announce that we are joining ŌURA, makers of the Oura Ring.
Around four years ago, we began developing a solution to better understand how the foods we eat affect our health. What started as a personal project has since evolved into a product that has helped nearly 50,000 people worldwide improve their metabolic health. Along the way, our vision has grown even bigger: to end the global metabolic health crisis.
This acquisition marks a major step forward in realizing that vision. By combining ŌURA’s advancements in other core pillars of prevention—such as sleep, activity, and stress—with our expertise in nutrition and metabolic health, we are poised to make an even greater impact together.
Metabolic health is a top priority for ŌURA’s members, with 97% expressing interest in understanding how their food choices affect their well-being. While many associate metabolic health with weight loss and diabetes, our vision, like ŌURAs, has always been to empower people to gain deeper insights into their overall health.
“Veri and ŌURA are aligned in many ways; we were both founded in Finland with an approach to health that draws upon the Finns’ balanced and holistic way of living. We are both mission-driven companies with lofty and ambitious goals to radically change health outcomes for people, and we believe in the role of technology in enabling that change. In fact, last year, we partnered with Veri to integrate ŌURA data into the Veri’s CGM experience so their members could see how their daily scores and biometrics impacted glucose levels, training, and daily life,” said Tom Hale, CEO of ŌURA.
Moving forward, the Veri team will join ŌURA to bring advanced metabolic health capabilities as part of ŌURA’s value proposition. By combining the strengths of both products, we aim to create an enhanced experience in the field of metabolic health. Unfortunately, this means that Veri will discontinue its CGM operations, and the Veri app will sunset by the end of 2024 to make way for something even more advanced through this partnership.
